Apple Votives

1. Place the tea light over the dot, and trace around its circumference with a paring knife, inserting the knife vertically as deep as the tea light is tall.

2. Set aside the light, cut the circle into sections, and scoop them out with a spoon.

3. Squeeze lemon juice onto the cut surface to keep the apple from turning brown, and insert a tea light. Repeat with remaining apples.

Enjoy and Happy Planning.

Save the Pig!

After 58 years, one of St. Paul’s iconic restaurants is closing. With unforgettable neon and a flashing light bulb sign, Porky’s was a glittery beacon on University Ave. The Preservation Alliance of Minnesota is trying to raise money quickly to purchase the signage at auction on Monday. Help them preserve history!

Steak, Chicken, Cocktails. Yep.
The last Vegas relic on the Strip, the Sahara, will close its doors on May 16th. I’m holding a fundraiser to get to Vegas to capture it one last time. 5% of all donations will go to The Neon Museum, a great organization that preserves vintage Vegas...
